For whom dental implants are indicated:

For whom dental implants are not indicated:
– Uncontrolled systemic or dental diseases, like uncontrolled periodontal disease, are contraindications. However, when these factors are treated and controlled, implant therapy is a valuable solution.
– Adolescent patients should not be treated with implants as their bones are still growing.
– Be aware that heavy smoking also decreases the success rate of implants.
